Broken Lyrics 001

No Title

When the day has folded its rays
      and removed the light,
I will lit the candle in my heart,
      and guide you.

When its too dark,
      and your afraid,
I will sing a happy song & hold you
take you to my lighted soul.

If these darkness gives you worry,
and the baneful night makes you sad,
You may cry, but hold your tears,
I will raise the candle in my heart
          to light your soul.

I'll hold it up there like a guiding star
and you will never be lost again.
So look for the sky and cheer up.
Forget the night.
Forget the night.

Cause nothing cost too much for a trusted friend
Even if my light is wasted & my candle melts down.
As long as the light keeps you up while the day's yet to come,
As long as you're cheered up while the night tears you down,
I will be with you through the night,
Even until my music's all done. . .

Kuliglig drivers upstrike against E.O. 16 & 17

It’s funny how the city government foresees growth and development without counting the cost. Well, although I believe that its indeed a good start to see ourselves as growing nation, plucking out the don't-look-so-good things out of the picture; because I guess that’s what the government is trying to do in banning the kuliglig (the three-wheeled vehicle otherwise pedicab) from the national roads.

Anyways, the executive orders will never be pushed without the reasons behind it:

First, they pointed out these pedicab drivers never passes through National Transportation Office's standards- which is true. Well, come to think of it. It’s a fair start to obtain justice for other vehicles working and paying for the permit to run on streets. Unlike the pedicabs and kuligligs who have been roaming the streets freely, that is, from taxes and scrutiny (though definitely they can’t be taxed because they're not earning that much though). Secondly, it’s a good start to clean up the streets from pretty inhibitions (if that sounds good to say, frankly speaking). Well, I’m sure this is what this is all about- after all, what is being human but vanity. Finally, since they can’t be taxed, the governments not earning from them- thus, they are a burden to the local government.

To flip the coin up, the drivers has also a point to do rallies and stand against it, no matter how pretty good it may sound to the government. It is important to note that there are a thousand of pedicab drivers trying to make a living for their families. If we are to take away their only means of livelihood, how then are they able to feed their kids.

I am not really pretty sure which rights are justified! You decide. . .
